This sporty, all-electric roadster enters a premium price bracket, with an introductory price of ₹72.49 lakh (ex-showroom) for customers who had placed early pre-reservations. For other buyers, the Cyberster will be available at ₹74.99 lakh (ex-showroom). This model is the second to be sold via the brand’s luxury-focused ‘MG Select’ dealerships.

Unveiled earlier this year at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, the MG Cyberster makes its way to Indian shores as a Completely Built-Up (CBU) unit. Though it doesn’t have a direct competitor in its segment, it will likely be cross-shopped with performance EVs like the Tesla Model Y, BMW Z4, Porsche 718 Boxster, Kia EV6, Mini Cooper SE, and Hyundai Ioniq 5.

Striking Exterior Design and Dimensions

The MG Cyberster features a sleek and aerodynamic two-door convertible design, highlighted by its electric scissor doors. Built on a dedicated electric vehicle platform, it sports a wheelbase of 2,690 mm and boasts a low drag coefficient of 0.269 Cd. The exterior styling includes a sloping rear profile, smooth shoulder lines, and large 20-inch staggered alloy wheels, giving the car a futuristic, performance-oriented appearance.

MG will offer the Cyberster in four dual-tone colour options:

Nuclear Yellow with black roof

Flare Red with black roof

Andes Grey with red roof

Modern Beige with red roof

Powertrain and Acceleration

In India, the MG Cyberster comes equipped with a dual-motor setup, drawing energy from a 77 kWh battery pack positioned between the axles. This configuration produces a powerful 510 PS and 725 Nm of torque, enabling the car to sprint from 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.2 seconds. On a full charge, MG claims the Cyberster can deliver a driving range of up to 510 km.

Globally, another version of the car exists with a rear-wheel-drive layout, powered by a smaller 64 kWh battery and a single motor that makes 295 bhp. Interestingly, despite its lower output, this variant is estimated to offer a slightly longer range of 519 km.

Interior Layout and Key Features

The cabin of the Cyberster is crafted using vegan leather and suede materials and features a futuristic cockpit layout. A pair of 7-inch digital displays flank a 10.25-inch infotainment screen in the centre console. Premium creature comforts include dual-zone climate control, a BOSE audio system, and an MP 2.5 air filter for improved cabin air quality.

Other highlights include:

Performance-style seats

Flat-bottom steering wheel with integrated media and display controls

Paddle shifters for adjusting regenerative braking levels

A dedicated rotary selector for launch control

Safety and Engineering Highlights

The chassis has been fine-tuned by Marco Fainello, a former Formula 1 engineer, ensuring dynamic handling and high-speed stability. The Brembo braking system allows the Cyberster to decelerate from 100 kmph to zero in just 33 metres.

In terms of active and passive safety, the car includes:

Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS)

Driver Monitoring System

Electronic Stability Control

Multiple airbags

Reinforced frame with a high Side Stability Factor (SSF) rated at 1.83, helping resist rollovers and enhance safety.

Bookings, Charging, and Warranty

Interested buyers can book the MG Cyberster online or at one of the MG Select showrooms across 13 Indian cities.
