The OnePlus 15 starts at a price of 77,999 while the OPPO Find X9s enters the race at 79,999 for the base models. Both companies want to give you a high quality experience without making you pay more than 90,000 for a single device.

It is a tough choice. While OnePlus brings a very big battery and the latest Snapdragon chip, OPPO offers a smaller size that is easy to hold and cameras tuned by Hasselblad. You will find both phones in all major electronics shops across India right now.

Display & Build Quality

OnePlus 15 features a huge 6.78-inch display with a 165Hz refresh rate.

OPPO Find X9s has 6.59 inch display with very high 3600 nits brightness.

Both phones are rated IP68 and IP69 for dust and water resistance.

OnePlus uses Gorilla Glass Victus 2, OPPO has the newer Gorilla Glass 7i.

When you hold these phones in your hand the screens look really different. The OnePlus 15 has a 165Hz refresh rate this makes the OnePlus 15 feel very smooth when you scroll on it. But the OPPO Find X9s is much more comfortable to use in one hand and that’s because the OPPO Find X9s is smaller and it is lighter at 202 grams.

The OPPO screen is honestly better for the Indian summer as it hits 3600 nits of brightness. This means you’ll be able to read your messages clearly even when the sun is directly overhead. The Sand Storm color has a special metal treatment that feels very unique to touch. OnePlus sticks to a classic glass and aluminum build that feels very solid and premium.

Hardware Camera Performance

OnePlus 15 runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip with 16GB RAM.

OPPO uses the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s processor for fast performance.

Both phones have triple 50MP camera systems on the back.

OnePlus can record 8K video while OPPO uses Hasselblad color tuning.

I tried it. OnePlus 15 is a beast. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, which is Qualcomm’s fastest chip right now. Basically, you can open twenty apps at once and the phone will not even blink. OPPO uses a MediaTek chip that is also very fast for everything you do.

Look, the cameras are the real talk of the town here. Both have three 50MP sensors. My sister loves the natural colors on the OPPO photos. It’s because OPPO worked with Hasselblad to make the skin tones look real. OnePlus has a periscope lens that zooms in 3.5x, which is slightly better than the 3x zoom on the OPPO. Actually if you do a lot of video calls the OnePlus 15 has autofocus on the camera. This helps to keep your face sharp during those calls.

Battery Life and Charging Speeds

OnePlus has a huge 7300 mAh battery with 120W fast charging.

OPPO offers a 7025 mAh battery with 80W wired charging.

OnePlus supports 50W wireless charging for extra convenience.

The OnePlus can be charged to 100 percent in just 40 minutes.

The battery size on these phones is just crazy. OnePlus gives you a 7300 mAh battery. It is one of the biggest batteries you can buy in India right now. Honestly, you can go two days without looking for a plug. I tried to drain it in one day but I failed. OnePlus also gives you 120W charging in the box.

This means you can fill that giant battery in about 40 minutes. OPPO has a 7025 mAh battery which is also very big. But the charging is slower at 80W and it does not have wireless charging. Actually, the OnePlus 15 even lets you charge your friends’ phones using reverse wireless charging.

My Verdict

At 77,999, I think the OnePlus 15 is a better deal. You get more battery, faster charging, and a better chip for less cash. If you like big screens and gaming, this is your best bet. But if you have smaller hands or you want the best looking photos, the OPPO Find X9s at 79,999 is a very sweet device. Honestly, the 3600 nits brightness on the OPPO is a real help in our bright weather. You should choose the OnePlus if you want pure power and the OPPO if you want a stylish, compact phone.

OnePlus and OPPO are now fighting a big battle in the Indian mobile market with their two newest premium phones.
