Things look much better now. While the total sales numbers dropped quite a bit last year, the company finally started making positive cash from its operations in the last three months. Management says that 2026 was a time to fix internal problems. They are now predicting a very strong return to growth for the 2027 fiscal year. Honestly, the company needed this break to set things right for the long run.

Service quality is finally getting better

Service turnaround time dropped by 88 percent.

Most repairs now finish within just one day.

The backlog of scooters waiting for service fell to six days.

Warranty costs dropped from ₹555 crore to just ₹59 crore.

Look, the company had a tough year. Basically, the total revenue fell to ₹2,253 crore because people were unhappy with the slow service at their centers. Sales fell quite hard. Actually, the management spent most of the 2026 fiscal year just trying to fix these basic problems. (I know many of you were worried about your scooters sitting in workshops for weeks). In October 2025, it took nine days on average to fix a scooter. By March 2026, they brought that down to one single day. This is a huge win for regular customers who use these bikes for work every day.

Battery cells will change the future

Ola is building its own Gigafactory to make cells right here in India. Currently, only 15 percent of their scooters use these home grown cells. The company wants every single scooter and bike to use these cells by September 2026. This move helps them control the quality and the cost of the battery. Using these new cells also gives the scooters more range. For example, the Roadster X+ motorcycle can now go more than 500 km on a single charge. That is a lot of distance for an electric bike.

The Gigafactory is growing fast. It started with 2.5 GWh capacity and is now moving to 6 GWh. Eventually, they want to reach 20 GWh. Besides bikes, Ola is also looking at home energy. They have new products called Shakti and Mahashakti for storing power at home. (It is nice to see an Indian company trying to make everything from scratch). They expect these new power products to launch by 2027.

How to check your Ola scooter service status

If you are a current owner and want to see how your service is moving, follow these steps.

Open the Ola Electric app on your smartphone.

Go to the profile section and click on the support tab.

Tap on the service history option to see your past records.

If your bike is at a center, look for the live track bar.

You can see the name of the technician and the parts they are replacing.

Once the repair is done, you will get a message for pickup.

My Verdict

I think Ola Electric has done the right thing by slowing down to fix its service. You cannot sell lakhs of scooters if you cannot fix them quickly. The fall in revenue to ₹2,253 crore is a bit scary, but the positive cash flow of ₹91 crore in the last quarter shows they are learning how to manage money. If they can really move all their bikes to their own battery cells by September, the costs will go down further. I feel that 2027 will be a much better year for the company and for the buyers. If you were waiting to buy an Ola, the improved service and the new Roadster range make it a much better choice now.

Ola Electric just shared its report card for the 2026 fiscal year.
