Samsung is planning a huge design shift for the upcoming Galaxy S27 Ultra. The company wants to move away from the old vertical camera look that we have seen for years. Instead, they will use a horizontal camera bar across the back of the phone. This new layout should help the device sit flat on a table without wobbling. It is a bold move that aims to give the 2027 flagship a fresh and clean style for users.

This change is quite surprising. Honestly, I thought Samsung would keep the same look forever because it became their signature style. You might be wondering why they are removing a camera lens from their most expensive phone. Basically, they are replacing the 3x zoom lens with a very smart 200MP ISOCELL HP6 sensor. This sensor captures so much detail that the phone can just crop into the middle of the photo to get a 3x zoom. (This actually saves space inside the phone for other important parts).

Better Photos and Variable Aperture

The camera will now physically change how much light it lets in, just like a professional lens. Look, Samsung had this feature years ago, but this new version is much more advanced. It has multiple steps to adjust for bright sunlight or dark rooms. Wait, before we get into the screen specs, you should know about LAFIC technology. This tech helps the camera balance very bright and very dark areas in one single photo. It will be great for Indian festivals where you have bright lights and dark backgrounds at the same time.

Face Scanning and Content Creation

The front camera is getting a very big security update too. Samsung is putting 3D face scanning under the screen to make your phone and payments much safer. Unlike old systems, this one cannot be fooled by a simple photo of your face. I heard the sensor is much smaller than what other brands use today. Also, the front camera will use a square sensor now. This makes it very easy for you to film vertical reels or horizontal videos without losing any of the picture quality.

Faster Charging and Battery Life

For the battery, Samsung is using a new silicon carbon material for the 5,000mAh cell. This helps the phone stay thin even though the battery holds a lot of power. They are also finally moving to 65W wired fast charging after staying at 45W for a long time. You will also get built-in magnets for Qi2 wireless charging. This means you can snap on magnetic wallets or chargers just like people do with iPhones. It is about time Samsung added this feature to their top phones.

I think these changes show that Samsung is listening to what people actually want. They are focusing on useful features like better security and faster charging rather than just adding more megapixels for no reason. We still have a long way to go before the 2027 launch, but these leaks are very promising. I will keep an eye on more details as they come out from the factory.
