I’ve been watching the budget and mid-range space closely lately, and today, Madhav Sheth and the NxtQuantum team just dropped a massive lineup that’s going to shake things up. We’re talking about three new phones: the Nova 2 5G, the Nova 2 Ultra 5G, and a surprisingly thin Nova Flip 5G.

If you’ve been waiting for a phone that balances raw specs with a clean software experience, Ai+ is definitely making its move to become your next daily driver.

The Showstopper: Ai+ Nova Flip 5G

This is a major first for the brand—a clamshell foldable that is incredibly thin. At just 7.2mm when unfolded, it feels premium and futuristic.

  • Screens: A massive 6.9-inch 120Hz AMOLED main display and a handy 3-inch outer screen for quick notifications.

  • Build: Aerospace aluminum frame with a “triple-arc” back cover for a better grip.

  • Performance: Powered by the Dimensity 7300X with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.

  • Battery: 4,325mAh with 33W charging.

Why it matters: Foldables are usually prohibitively expensive, but with an effective starting price of Rs. 29,999 (with offers), Ai+ is making the “flip” life accessible to almost everyone.

The Power Player: Ai+ Nova 2 Ultra 5G

If you’re a gamer or a power user on a budget, this is the one you want. It’s got a flagship-grade 144Hz AMOLED screen and some very cool design touches.

  • Gaming Features: Customizable Action Keys that act as shoulder triggers for gaming.

  • Display: 1.5K resolution with a massive 2,500 nits peak brightness.

  • Camera: A high-end Sony IMX752 50MP sensor with OIS—rare at this price point.

  • Battery: A huge 6,000mAh cell with 33W fast charging.

Why it matters: The inclusion of OIS and gaming triggers for under Rs. 17,000 is a massive disruptor. It’s essentially a budget gaming phone that doesn’t look like a neon toy.

The Budget King: Ai+ Nova 2 5G

For those who just want a reliable 5G phone that lasts forever, the Nova 2 is the successor you’ve been looking for.

  • Battery: An enormous 6,000mAh battery that will easily sail through two days.

  • Display: 6.74-inch screen with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate.

  • Software: Runs Android 16 right out of the box.

  • Durability: IP64 rating for dust and water resistance.

Why it matters: At a starting price of Rs. 8,999, getting a 120Hz 5G phone with this much battery life is almost unheard of. It’s the perfect “no-nonsense” upgrade.

The Pricing Breakdown

  • Nova 2 5G: Starts at Rs. 8,999 (Available April 14).

  • Nova 2 Ultra 5G: Starts at Rs. 16,999 (Available April 17).

  • Nova Flip 5G: Rs. 49,999 (Effective price Rs. 29,999 with offers, available in May).

I noticed that they are still using the Unisoc T8200 in the base model, which is a bit of a “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” move to keep the price down. But the Ultra model really steals the show for me with that Sony sensor.

Stay tuned as I’ll be getting these in hand for a full review soon. Which one of these three are you most excited to see a camera test for? Let me know!
