HP India launched three new premium laptops on Monday called the OmniBook Ultra 14, OmniBook X, and OmniBook 5. These machines bring the latest chips from Intel and Qualcomm to our local market with a huge focus on artificial intelligence. Prices start from Rs 1,24,999 and go all the way up for the top models. They are available now at the HP online store or at an HP World shop near you. The laptops are designed to help users who want to maintain the pace on today’s apps and smart software tools.
The Powerful Ultra 14 Model Features
The big story here is the flagship HP OmniBook Ultra 14. You can opt for an Intel Core Ultra 7 356H processor or a Snapdragon X-series chip. The Intel version starts at Rs 2, 14,999 while the Snapdragon model is slightly cheaper at Rs 1,89,999.
Honestly I think the 3K OLED touchscreen on this laptop looks super sharp and bright. In essence it has a 120Hz refresh rate which makes everything look smooth as you scroll. It even has a 5-megapixel camera for those long video calls at work.
Actually, let me put that more simply. This laptop has a special brain called an NPU that handles AI tasks very quickly. Look, it helps with privacy because your data stays on the device instead of going to the cloud. You get 16GB of RAM and a 1TB storage drive for all your movies and work files. Wait, before we get into the other models, you should know the battery lasts nearly 23 hours. HP uses two fans and a vapour chamber to keep the laptop cool when you are working hard.
The OmniBook X sits right in the middle of the range at Rs 1,69,999. It comes in a nice Atmospheric Blue colour and target professionals who move around a lot. Like the other models, it has a special Copilot key on the keyboard for opening Windows AI tools instantly. Maybe you’re thinking, “Is there a lighter version for my backpack?” The answer is the HP OmniBook 5. It is very thin and weighs only 1.33kg.
The OmniBook 5 has a 14-inch 2K OLED screen which is still very good for watching videos. I tested the keyboard and the keys feel very nice to press. Even though it is small, it still has a 59Wh battery that can last up to 21.5 hours. You can charge it up to 50 percent in just 30 minutes if you are in a rush. This is great if you forgot to plug it in before a meeting.
Connectivity and Future Ready Tech
Connectivity is quite good on these new HP laptops. The OmniBook 5 has two Thunderbolt 4 ports, two USB ports, and even an HDMI port for your TV. All three models support Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6 which are the newest standards for fast internet. These machines run on Windows 11 and come with high-quality webcams for meetings. HP says these keyboards are built for comfortable typing over long hours.
I feel these laptops are a good choice for someone who wants the best tech available right now. You get plenty of power and a battery that will not die in the middle of your workday. It is good to see HP bringing these global models to India so quickly. If you have the budget, these laptops will likely last you many years without feeling slow. You should definitely check them out at a store to see the screens for yourself.
