Apple is getting ready for a major push in the artificial intelligence space with an ambitious lineup of smart devices. Reports suggest the company is working on products like an Apple tabletop robot, a smart speaker with a display, new Apple home security cameras, and a doorbell — all powered by a smarter, more natural Siri.
Apple Tabletop Robot and Smart Display
The highlight of Apple’s plan is the Apple tabletop robot, expected to arrive in 2027. It will feature an iPad-style screen attached to a robotic arm that can turn and face users as they move. Designed for video calls and natural interactions, it will rely heavily on the upgraded Siri for seamless conversations.
Ahead of this, Apple is expected to launch a simpler smart display in mid-2026. This device won’t have a moving arm but will act as a central hub for the home — playing music, making video calls, taking notes, and browsing the internet. Both devices are likely to run on a new operating system called Charismatic, which can recognize multiple users.
Smarter Security Devices
Apple is also building a range of smart home products, starting with Apple home security cameras and a doorbell. The cameras will be battery-powered, capable of lasting several months to a year on a single charge. They will use facial recognition to identify users and trigger automation — like switching off lights when a room is empty or playing someone’s favorite music when they walk in.
The upcoming doorbell is expected to bring the same facial recognition technology, giving Apple a stronger presence in home security.
Siri’s Big Upgrade
At the center of all these devices will be a new version of Siri, codenamed Linwood. Scheduled for early 2026, this updated assistant will use advanced AI models to remember details, adapt to each user, and carry more natural conversations. Apple is reportedly testing its own systems along with external tools from companies such as Anthropic.
Catching Up With Rivals
Apple’s move comes at a time when competitors like Amazon and Google already have a head start in AI-powered smart-home products. With these new launches, Apple aims to position Siri not just as a phone or computer assistant, but as the main link between people and their connected homes.
