After ruling the market with a single-screen layout, Apple is now gearing up to jump into the foldable phone game. Yes, you read it right! The segment has already been dominated by Samsung, which might receive a new competitor if all goes as per rumours.

The reports suggested the series might enter next year, alongside the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro models. The latter is scheduled to arrive in September 2026. The Apple fold series is expected to be the most expensive model by the brand ever.
The Apple fold series is expected to be priced at $2,400 (roughly Rs 2.15 lakh) in the US. If it lands in India, the price goes up to Rs 2.50, including all the taxes. To note, the company did not share any details or hint at anything about the model as of now.

The report says that the iPhone fold might get a 7.8-inch OLED main display. At the same time, the cover screen is expected to be a 5.5-inch screen. Going by the media reports, the main display might feature a 24-megapixel selfie camera, similar to the iPhone 17 series. The customers can expect some noticeable enhancement in the sensor.
Going further, the Apple foldable series is reportedly to have both Touch ID and Face ID. At the hardware front, the tech giant is likely to house the model with at least a 5,400mAh battery setup. This will be the largest battery unit in any iPhone ever. The device is also rumoured to get an A20 Pro chipset, which might be seen in the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro series.
