At Reliance Industries’ annual general meeting on August 29, Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd (RJIL) chairman Akash Ambani announced two new products that signal Jio’s big push into the future of connected tech — JioPC and JioFrames.
JioPC: A Computer on Your TV
With the launch of JioPC, Ambani introduced a new way to use technology at home. This virtual desktop service runs completely on Jio’s cloud and connects directly through a Jio set-top box.
All you need is a keyboard, and instantly your TV or any screen turns into an AI-ready computer. The best part? There’s no need to buy expensive hardware upfront. Users can pay only for what they use, while storage, memory, and power can be scaled up remotely.
Ambani highlighted that since JioPC lives in the cloud, it is always secure, updated, and flexible, making it perfect for students, professionals, and households alike.
JioFrames: AI Glasses Made for India
Alongside JioPC, Ambani also revealed JioFrames — an AI-powered wearable platform designed to blend seamlessly into everyday life.
These smart glasses support multiple Indian languages through a multilingual AI voice-assistant, making them useful for people across the country. They act as a hands-free AI-powered companion, letting users capture HD photos, record videos, or even go live with just a voice command.
Every memory or recording is instantly saved to the Jio AI Cloud, ensuring secure and easy access anytime.
“With JioFrames, you can capture your world like never before,” Ambani said, calling the device a glimpse into how AI and wearables can change the way people live, work, and play.
