In a move to offer a smooth processor and seamless smartphone experience, Apple is gearing up to release iOS 26.2. The company is expected to roll out the update for the public sometime in December 2025. Ahead of the stable version, Apple has dropped the 26.2 Beta form for developers.
What’s New and Eligible Devices
According to the reports, the iOS 26.2 Beta offers smooth performance, eliminating lag while processing heavy applications and includes new features. The report also suggested that the company has fixed some bugs, which have been raised in the last update.
The IOS 26.2 Beta has now turned the “Reminders app” bit smarter. It now supports urgent alarms with a new blue-colored alert. This has been followed by Lock Screen’s Liquid Glass clock customisation options and improved capabilities in Airdrop. It allows users to generate a code and share the data with unknown users for up to 30 days.
The new beta version has also levelled up the Liquid Glass–style game, ensuring the readings remain visible even. The major focus has been given to the angles, where the design made the numbers unclear due to the glassy effect.

Here’s How to Install
- First, sign up for the public beta on Apple’s website
- Go to Software Update in the Settings
- Select iOS 26.2 and click the Public Beta Updates option
- Go back to the Software Update interface and download the Beta version
- Installation will begin after the download
