Oppo has officially locked in the global launch date for its next-gen tablet, the Oppo Pad 5. The device will make its debut on October 16, the same day the company unveils its Find X9 smartphone series in China. Oppo has already teased the tablet with a promotional video and confirmed that it will ship with ColorOS 16, based on Android 16.
Software and Official Details
Oppo says the Pad 5 will feature smart multitasking tools such as multi-screen support, fast app switching, and advanced gesture controls. These will be powered by the latest version of ColorOS, giving users a smoother, more connected experience across devices.
Performance and Hardware (Rumored)
While Oppo hasn’t confirmed the full hardware yet, a Geekbench listing revealed the tablet may run on the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ processor. The test model with 12GB RAM scored 2,673 in single-core and 7,839 in multi-core tests, showing flagship-level power. Other leaks suggest it could also come in 8GB and 16GB RAM options, with storage going up to 512GB.
Display, Battery, and Design
The Oppo Pad 5 is rumored to sport a 12.1-inch 3K+ LCD display with a silky smooth 144Hz refresh rate. Powering it could be a 10,300mAh battery with 67W fast charging support. For photography, leaks point to a simple 8MP rear camera, while the tablet itself is said to weigh just 579 grams—making it relatively lightweight for its size.
Color options are expected to include Grey, Purple, and Silver, giving buyers a mix of professional and playful finishes.
