Hero MotoCorp has launched the 2025 Glamour X 125 in India, with prices starting at ₹89,999 for the Drum variant and ₹99,999 for the Disc variant (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The new Glamour X 125 is slightly more expensive than its predecessor. The Drum variant is ₹2,701 costlier, while the Disc variant comes at a premium of ₹8,801. Customers can pick from five colour choices: Matt Magnetic Silver, Candy Blazing Red, Metallic Nexus Blue, Black Teal Blue, and Black Pearl Red.
In terms of competition, the Glamour X 125 will go up against the Honda SP 125, Bajaj Pulsar N125, and TVS Raider 125. Bookings are already open at authorised Hero dealerships and through the company’s online channels.
Engine and Performance
Powering the bike is a 124.7cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, also used in the Hero Xtreme 125R. The motor delivers 11.4 BHP at 8,250 rpm and 10.5 Nm at 6,500 rpm, paired with a 5-speed gearbox. Hero has worked on refinement with features like a tuned cam profile, silent cam chain, balancer shaft, and optimised gear ratios. The brand’s idling-start-stop system also helps improve fuel efficiency in city riding.
Segment-First Features
The 2025 Glamour X 125 introduces some segment-first features that set it apart:
-
Cruise control for relaxed highway rides
-
Ride-by-wire throttle for smoother response
-
Three riding modes – Eco, Road, and Power
Interestingly, it is the world’s first 125cc motorcycle with low-battery kick-start capability, made possible through Hero’s Advanced Electronic Ride Assist (AERA) system.
Tech and Safety
Hero has packed the Glamour X 125 with modern touches. A panic brake alert flashes the indicators under hard braking, while a multi-colour LCD console with Bluetooth connectivity offers turn-by-turn navigation, gear position indicator, distance-to-empty, and even an ambient light sensor.
Other highlights include H-shaped LED DRLs, LED headlamps and tail-lamps (halogen on the Drum variant), new switchgear with hazard function, a USB-C charging port, and an under-seat storage box that can store two phones, a toolkit, and a first-aid kit.
Design and Hardware
The design gets sharper tank shrouds and a bolder stance. Suspension is handled by a telescopic front fork and five-step adjustable twin rear shocks, while the bike rides on 18-inch tubeless alloy wheels.
It also comes with 170 mm ground clearance, a 790 mm seat height, a 10-litre fuel tank, and weighs 127 kg (Drum) or 125.5 kg (Disc).
Accessories
Hero is also offering optional add-ons for the Glamour X 125, including knuckle guards, a small windscreen, a rear tyre hugger, a tank pad, and a belly pan.
