Scroll down to know.
Difference between 2026 Tata Punch vs 2025 Model
Talking about the price point first, the 2026 Tata Punch is slightly more expensive compared to the older version. Now, the customers have to pay an extra amount of Rs 10,000 for the base trim in the 2026 model. It now gets new colour options, enhanced road presence with redesigned bumpers, new alloy wheel designs, and an improved headlamp setup. However, it carries the same stance and vibe as the 2025 version.

Inside the cabin, the 2026 Punch feels noticeably more premium. It gets a new two-spoke illuminated multi-functional steering wheel, rear AC vents, an updated dashboard layout, touch-based climate controls, dual-tone charcoal-blue upholstery, extendable rear-seat thigh support, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, and a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The additional features include a wireless charger, auto headlamps, voice-assisted electric sunroof, 360-degree camera, rain-sensing wipers, auto-dimming IRVM, and connected car technology. In comparison, the 2025 Punch used to lack all these trending features with a smaller infotainment system and a basic analogue-digital instrument cluster.

2026 Tata Punch vs 2025 Model Safety
The company has levelled up the safety in the latest offering. The 2026 model now offers six airbags as standard, whereas the 2025 version offers dual airbags on lower trims. When it comes to new add-ons, the list includes ESC, hill descent control, improved camera quality and TPMS, and blind-spot monitoring. It is worth mentioning that both models offer a 5-star Bharat NCAP safety rating.

Under the hood, the 2026 Punch carries the same 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol and CNG engines. The company has also introduced a new 1.2L turbo-petrol option for the new version. The NA petrol engine produces 88 PS and 115 Nm, paired with a 5-speed MT or AMT, while the CNG variant gets a 5-speed AMT.
Here’s What We Think
The 2026 Tata Punch arrived as a stronger and well-rounded upgrade option. It offers a long list of features, safety enhancements, and the addition of a latest turbo-petrol engine. All these elements surely make the model more premium than ever. However, the 2025 Tata Punch still makes sense in 2025 as it is still a solid choice under a tight budget. From offering a five-star safety rating in Bharat NCAP to rooted diving with impressive mileage, the model is a wise choice for buyers who want something simple yet reliable.
