KTM has taken the wraps off the 2026 690 Enduro R for global markets, giving the adventure-focused motorcycle a round of updates to its engine, features, and hardware. The changes are aimed at improving performance, rider comfort, and overall efficiency.
Engine Refinements
At its core, the KTM 690 Enduro R still runs on the well-known 693cc LC4 single-cylinder engine, but it isn’t exactly the same as before. KTM has reworked the crankcase, clutch cover, stator cover, and oil circuit to reduce friction and enhance smoothness. The motor now meets the latest emission norms and continues to deliver around 78bhp and 73Nm of torque, keeping its performance credentials intact.
New Features and Rider Tech
One of the big highlights is the addition of a 4.2-inch colour TFT display, paired with new switchgear for easier controls. There’s also a USB-C charging socket for quick top-ups on the go and a full LED headlight for better visibility.
In terms of rider aids, the 2026 model is more advanced than ever. It comes with cornering ABS, cornering traction control, and multiple ride modes. New for this version is Dynamic Slip Adjust, a feature that lets riders fine-tune rear wheel slip when using Rally mode — especially handy for off-road adventures.
Chassis and Suspension Tweaks
The bodywork has been refreshed, and KTM has made changes to the chassis by increasing stiffness while keeping the same geometry. This should improve feedback and stability.
Suspension settings have also been updated, aiming to strike a better balance between sharp handling and everyday comfort — making the bike versatile across different terrains.
Availability
The 2026 KTM 690 Enduro R is expected to go on sale in international markets later this year. As of now, KTM hasn’t revealed when or if the updated model will arrive in India.
