TVS Motor Company has updated its Raider 125 motorcycle for the 2025 model year with several new features. The update is seen as a strategic response to increasing competition within the 125 cc segment from rival models. Details of the refreshed motorcycle have surfaced through a video shared on social media, ahead of an official announcement from the manufacturer.
Key Mechanical Enhancements
The primary upgrades for the 2025 TVS Raider 125 are focused on its mechanical components. The most significant addition is a new rear disc brake, which features a petal-type disc and a red caliper. This system is paired with a single-channel Super Moto ABS, an inclusion that is reported to be a first for the 125 cc segment. Furthermore, the updated model has been fitted with wider tires, now using a 90-section tire at the front and a 110-section tire at the rear.
Unchanged Powertrain and Features
The powertrain of the Raider 125 remains unchanged for the 2025 model. It continues to be powered by the 124.8 cc single-cylinder, 3-valve, air-cooled engine, which produces 11.2 hp of power and 11.2 Nm of torque. This engine is still mated to a five-speed gearbox. The lighting system is also carried over from the previous version, consisting of LED headlights and taillights along with halogen turn indicators.
New Aesthetic Options
In addition to the mechanical updates, the refreshed Raider 125 will be offered with new color options. The model shown in the video featured a new red and white paint scheme, indicating that new aesthetic choices will be available for customers.
