Renault India has given its popular Kiger compact SUV a major refresh, with prices now starting at ₹6.30 lakh and going up to ₹11.30 lakh (ex-showroom). The update brings not just cosmetic changes but also new variant names, with the older RXE, RXL, RXT(O), and RXZ trims replaced by Authentic, Evolution, Techno, and Emotion.

Price and Variants

The facelift is slightly more expensive than before — the base model is about ₹14,000 costlier, while the top Emotion CVT sees a hike of ₹6,000. On the brighter side, Renault has introduced special launch prices for the Techno CVT and Emotion turbo-manual, both starting at ₹9.99 lakh.

Here’s a quick look at the 2025 Renault Kiger facelift price list (ex-showroom):

  • 1.0L Petrol (NA, MT): Authentic – ₹6.30 lakh | Evolution – ₹7.10 lakh | Techno – ₹8.20 lakh | Emotion – ₹9.15 lakh

  • 1.0L Petrol (NA, AMT): Evolution – ₹7.60 lakh | Techno – ₹8.70 lakh

  • 1.0L Turbo Petrol (MT): Emotion – ₹10 lakh

  • 1.0L Turbo Petrol (CVT): Techno – ₹10 lakh | Emotion – ₹11.30 lakh

With this update, the Kiger continues to battle some tough competition including the Tata Punch, Hyundai Exter, Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Skoda Kushaq, and its sibling, the Nissan Magnite.

Engines and Performance

There’s no change under the hood. The 2025 Renault Kiger facelift continues with:

  • A 72hp, 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine (with 5-speed manual or AMT).

  • A 100hp, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol (with 5-speed manual or CVT).

Both units are now E20 fuel-ready. The naturally aspirated motor produces 72hp/96Nm, while the turbo delivers 100hp/152Nm (160Nm with CVT). Mileage figures are healthy too, at 19.83 kmpl for the NA petrol and 20.38 kmpl for the turbo.

Renault has also added Mirror Bore Coating to improve efficiency and durability. Plus, drivers still get to enjoy three drive modes — Eco, Normal, and Sport — along with segment-best highlights like 205mm ground clearance, 405L boot space, and 29L of cabin storage.

Exterior Changes

The facelifted Kiger has been updated to look fresher and sharper. Changes include:

  • New front and rear bumpers

  • A redesigned grille with Renault’s updated logo

  • Revised DRLs and fog lamps

  • New C-pillar graphics and a smoked reverse-light section

  • Functional roof rails that can hold up to 50kg

  • Stylish 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels

Two new paint shades — Oasis Yellow and Shadow Grey — join the lineup, alongside existing colours like Radiant Red, Caspian Blue, Ice Cool White, Moonlight Silver, and Stealth Black.

Interior and Features

Inside, the cabin has been given subtle but useful upgrades:

  • A fresh black and light-grey dashboard theme

  • Thicker carpets and better insulation for reduced cabin noise

  • Leatherette ventilated seats on higher trims

Safety has been taken up a notch — all variants now come with six airbags, ESP, hill-start assist, and a tyre pressure monitoring system as standard.

The top Emotion variant packs in more premium touches such as:

  • A 360-degree camera

  • Automatic headlights and wipers

  • Wireless charging

  • Rear armrest with cupholders

  • An 8-inch infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay

Safety Upgrades

The SUV now offers 21 standard safety features, compared to 17 in the older version. New additions include:

  • ISOFIX mounts

  • Three-point seatbelts for all passengers

  • A multi-view camera system

  • “Belongings Take Away” alert

  • A handy take-a-break reminder

Final Word

With sharper looks, more equipment, and a stronger focus on safety, the 2025 Renault Kiger facelift makes an even stronger case for itself in the crowded compact SUV space. While its engines and performance remain unchanged, features like 21 standard safety systems, refreshed design, and new variants make it a more appealing choice against rivals like the Tata Punch, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, and others.
